The 48-hour Travel Review

1. Connecting in Paris is a good idea if you like to be late, miss your luggage, and want to hang around in an airport for a while. If that’s your idea of a good travel day, go ahead, connect in Paris. (-250 points for the Paris Airport)

2. Atlanta TSA Agents may be the single most unfriendly, unhelpful, poorly spoken, and all-around bad first impression bunch of people that any government has ever assembled. Nothing says “welcome to the USA world!” like someone in a poorly fitting uniform yelling at you…oh, and they yelled at my wife. (-300,000 points for Atlanta TSA Agents)

3. Air France rocks. While the Paris airport is a nightmare, Air France is a top-notch airline with comfy seats, nice people, great movies, and good food. (+100 points to Air France)

4. My children were awesome. These kids had great attitudes on the planes, slept well, and were mostly fantastic. (+200 points to my kids)

5. My wife was really sick the whole time. (-2.5 trillion points for morning sickness, plus one swift kick in the teeth)

6. I love the USA, and I’ve missed her. Good to be back. (+100 Points to America)

Total Score: Traveling still stinks, but the destination is good.

why the dickens did the TSA agent yell at hope? I’m annoyed about that. why didn’t he just pull nora’s hair and trod on alanna’s foot while he was yelling at the nauseous pregnant woman?

Paris – never been there that i haven’t been delayed for at least four hours. could they make it any harder to get around? bus then plane then bus then walk at least a mile, then customs, then bus back to where you started, then plane. Bon Jour…never seen the city just the airport…

  5. I was gonna try to do the math to see the point total but math is just not my thing. Glad you Mabry’s got back safely and hope to see you in Nashville!

@ Gretchen – I think its safe enough to say the math is ~ -2.5 trillion… until we add in the factor of GRACE -> ∞ so everyone’s happy :)

  7. Adam Mabry says:

@TMS – Your math nerdyness is hilarious, and sorely missed :-(
